PRISON BREAK STAR CHARGED WITH VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER.

It's official. Actor Lane Garrison, 26, who appeared on the show "Prison Break," has been charged with vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence, in addition to two felony DUI counts and a misdemeanor count of furnishing alcohol to a minor. These charges stem back to a car accident that took place in December where Garrison was partying with some teens, then got behind the wheel of his Landrover and a 17 year old boy along for the ride was killed. Two female teen passengers were also in the car at the time of the crash and survived, but sustained injuries. According to police, Garrison had been driving his car and hit a center median, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. It was later revealed that he had a blood alcohol level of .20 and that cocaine was allegedly found in his system. If convicted, Garrison could face a possible maximum sentence of 6 years and eight months in jail.

Ugh. Such a waste, such a waste. I don't do the TV show "Prison Break," so I'm not familiar with this actor and haven't been following this story much. What is clear is that unlike some of these other yahoo "celebrities" we read about being all up in da club and acting the fool in the tabloids every week, Garrison was a working actor with a great job, a promising career and now it's most likely all gone. He appears to be extremely remorseful for what happened, but you can't deny that someone died and for that, he deserves to go to jail. So much wasted, all because of the stupidity of someone (1) using drugs and alcohol and (2) getting behind the wheel. It's all so tragic and stupid what more can you say really?
