GASTRIC BYPASS??

Okay, so this is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Page Six has the following blind item today in their column:

WHICH young Hollywood starlet had secret gastric bypass surgery, but then lost too much weight? During a recent four-day stint at a health clinic, she was actually having an operation to remove the bypass.

It is pretty clear the person Page Six is referring to is allegedly Nicole Richie and her recent very, very short (but much talked about) stint in "rehab." I have heard the ridiculous rumor that Nicole had gastric bypass before and just laughed it off because I still think it is absurd. Everyone knows it was her ex-boyfriend D.J. AM that was obese and chose to have the gastric bypass years ago. But now, since Page Six is reigniting the rumor that Nicole also had the surgery, so it kinda makes you go "hmmm?" not to mention, it would explain her disgusting severe weight loss and her insistence that she lost it without being "anorexic." What I want to know is if this actually happened (and it's still a big "if"), what kind of unprofessional doctor would perform this type of surgery on Nicole and why in the world would she have wanted it to begin with (let alone wait so long to have the surgery reversed)?? I always thought this type of surgery was reserved for people who were obese (ie: Carnie Wilson, Star Jones) and Nicole was nowhere near that stage. Damn, the girl had a bit of pudge on her which could have been eliminated with a good diet and laps around the track, not gastric bypass surgery. It's already been reported that Nicole has gained 5-10 lbs since her "rehab" stint and if she suddenly is able to continue this miracle weight gain (which only time will tell) then do we really have no other choice but to believe this crazy story?
