STEVEN TYLER BATTLED THE HEP C.
The New York Daily News reports that on Access Hollywood tomorrow night, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler reveals that he had been battling hepatitis C for the past few years. Tyler said that he was officially diagnosed 3 years ago, but he has had it for a long time, being asymptomatic for many years. Hepatitis C, which according to the CDC is a disease of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV), is also what Pamela Anderson announced a few years ago she has and claimed to have caught from sharing a tattoo needle with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. Tyler said that he underwent a year of successful interferon treatments to battle the virus and told host Nancy O'Dell the Hep C is now "nonexistent in my bloodstream, where it's like a complete cure." He added, "I've been pretty quiet about this." "The band took a break about three years ago. [My doctor] said now is the time, and it's 11 months of chemotherapy," actually, interferon, which strengthens the immune system "so I went on that, and it about killed me." Tyler adds, "It's a shot and pills and all of that. But the good news is I stood the test of time."

That pic is hysterical!
Thanks--i'm not trying to make light of the situation, i just thought the picture of him was really cute.
Ironically, I was just talking about him last night and saying how I don't understand how all the drugs that he did, did not kill him. In his own words he "snorted up half of Peru" and now Hep C and who knows what else. This man is invincible. Funny how he abused so much and yet other people don't do anything wrong and die suddenly like Daniel.
My dad had hep c and he died. It progressed and eventually all his organs shut down. He was a former heroin addict.
By the time he cleaned up it was too late.
I'm sure he's had the best medical care being famous and all. He'll probably live to be 98 years old.
he still looks like effing death!
Heroin needles will do it every time. I dont care what Pamela Anderson says, sure wasnt a tatoo needle that caused hers. Steve is clean now and deserves some credit for that. Go Steve~

Tattooing is a definite risk, whether PA got it that way or not. For information on THAT, go here: www.whyfiles.com keyword: tattooing
educate yourself and, above all, get tested.
We do not know all the risk factors.

It can happen to anyone, don't be smug, just get tested. Save your own life.
I went through it ten years ago. Believe him that the cure is HELL. Hard to believe he went through that if he had no symptoms! I was so disabled by smells, like perfume that I could not go out in public.
