JESSICA SIMPSON DENIES DATING JOHN MAYER.
Jessica Simpson was a guest on The View today and when prodded by Rosie O'Donnell if tabloid reports were true about her dating John Mayer, Jessica denied it. The SF Daily Dish reports the following:
New host Rosie O'Donnell tried to get to the bottom of tabloid reports, prodding her with, "You don't want to say, but maybe?" Simpson sighed and shook her head saying, "I love it that she just goes right there. ... I'm actually not dating John Mayer." O'Donnell feigned shock saying, "You mean People magazine was wrong?" The publication featured Simpson on the cover last week with the headline, 'I'm in love,' referring to Simpson's reported new relationship with Mayer. She added, "And they put this quote saying that I'm in love! You know, he's my friend, I've known him for a couple years."
Hip, hip, hooray!! Although, it wouldn't surprise me if Jessica, who at first responded to questions about an involvement with Mayer with, "I want to keep my private life private," may be putting on this public change of heart after Mayer blogged the following on his website last Thursday:
