Oh dear. More rumors are creeping in about the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel. TMZ is reporting that the coroner investigating his death told them that Daniel died of "unnatural causes" and said, "We do know the cause of death, but we wish to reserve publishing the cause of death pending the toxicologist's report." Uh oh. Although I don't like to write about rumors like this until they are indeed fact, different stories are coming out from the Bahamas that contrary to what the family had said yesterday, Daniel's death may have allegedly been caused by drugs and that his death may have been very different than first described.
Sources close to the case say preliminary investigations reveal that various medications, along with drugs, were found in his system. According to The Nassau Guardian, Daniel was reportedly vomiting uncontrollably shortly before he collapsed and died. According to one source, "All we know right now is that he was on anti-depressants. Some things indicate that he probably overdosed on those drugs." The source said that his mother helplessly tried to revive her son, adding that the hospital room where Daniel was found "was a total mess" with vomit and blood splattered everywhere. The source also alleges that the medical team were unable to find the proper oxygen supply needed to resuscitate him at the time.
Horrible, horrible, horrible and quite a different story from the original thought that Anna Nicole found Daniel dead sitting in a chair next to her bed. I really hope there is no truth to this latest story and that he didn't die in such a violent manner. No matter how he died, and especially if something happened even somewhat close to the story above, I can't imagine how Anna Nicole is going to get through this. The autopsy results on Daniel's body were reportedly completed last night and are going to be released towards the end of the week.
