DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER ARRESTED.

Wow. I am so pissed off right now. I just read that my boy Duane "Dog" Chapman from A&E's Dog The Bounty Hunter was arrested by U.S. officials early this morning at his home in Hawaii for possible extradition to Mexico. Also arrested were two other members of his bounty hunting crew, Dog's inexplicably hot white trash son Leland and Tim Chapman (no, they are not related). The thing that is so infuriating about this arrest is that it dates back to Dog's 2003 capture of that Max Factor heir/pig date rapist Andrew Luster in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Ya see, bounty hunting is apparently illegal in Mexico and so when Dog caught Luster (after Luster jumped bail and left the U.S. before being convicted and sentenced to 124 years in prison) in Mexico, the Mexican government now wants to charge him and the boys with illegal detention and conspiracy in the alleged kidnapping of Luster. Give me a freakin' break.
According to MSNBC: "They will face an extradition hearing to Mexico under terms of treaties between the U.S. and Mexico. Charges have been pending against the three since local police in Mexico arrested them shortly after they roped in Luster. They posted bail but never returned to Puerto Vallarta for their court hearing on July 15, 2003." Nice. So much for the fact that he captured this guy Luster who was living sweet in Mexico after raping tons of women in the United States. Nice justice I tell ya.
Anyway, MSNBC's Rita Cosby wrote about it on her website where you can read more about this, plus you must listen to her heartbreaking interview with Dog's wife Beth. Ugh! Makes me sick!!!

just absurd. The new political regime in Mexico is same as the old. They'll continue to send over society's worst, drug dealers and gang members along with families looking for a better life (all on US taxpayer money), even if it's done illegally. But we get a guy who BELONGS back here in America to face serious charges of rape 'n escape... and the country plays all moralistic.

Screw Mexico. Their whole corrupt America-leeching ways. They should've handed Luster over on a silver platter. Officials here need to back Chapman and I hope they will. Although I admit, I haven't surfed over to Rita Cosby's story yet.

My thoughts exactly 3:09 right down to the "I haven't surfed over to Rita Cosby's story yet" LOL.

What I want to know is why do we continue to give Mexico financial aid when we are paying for all their citizens to live here? UGH!!

8:51- Man, everytime I do a post on DTBH someone has to say, "no, Tim is his brother" after I have said he isn't. Anyway, for the hundredth time.. no, Tim is NOT his brother. His last name is Chapman and Dog has said they are not blood related, but he considers anybody with the last name "Chapman" to be "family," not to mention, they are very close, yadda, yadda, yadda...read the story I sourced or even check out anywhere else on line, it will tell you the same thing--they are not blood related. Sorry.

TW, I didn't know that about Tim. Why does Dog call him "Youngblood," then? I always hear him calling Tim his brother, too, but I'm more interested in my question...

GIMB: Youngblood is just his nickname for Tim, I have no idea what the origin is for it. They are not blood related, but they have a long history together, hence, they are "family." Just google, google, google...you'll find it all there! :)

amy, we should take every dollar spent and send it back to Mexico in the palm of a hard-working native. With US help, we could oversee jobs and construction and maybe install some anti-corruption barriers. in other words, we should help Mexico help itself -- and get something for this country too. respect for the laws.

dog Broke the law.He is a criminal and has to own up for his actions. If anybody else kidnaped somebody even if it was a slime ball its still kidnapping.Geez people the law is the guidlines in society no matter were you are at.If he doesn't get punished for the crime he commited even though it was a just cause he would be a politician and who wants more of them?

Not everything is black and white. If it was your daughter or sister who was drugged and raped by Andrew Luster, I'm sure you wouldn't have the same bad attitude towards Dawg.

You're the one who sounds like a liberal politician.

The American Justice System Needs to set up better laws regarding Bounty Hunters. One of the things should be that just like a police officer you should not be able to become a bounty hunter if you have been convicted of a feloney crime.Giving felons the right to just go into someones house to find somebody is wrong. If a convict/bounty hunter decides to abuse his or her's privelages and uses them for there personal gain who is to blame. Its like basically giving a convict more rights to do things then a police officer. So imagine this its 6pm you and your family is eating dinner when all of a sudden a unknown stranger knocks and walks right in because he has a suspician that your 4th cousin by marriage may or may not be lving there.I don't know about everybody else but I like my privacy.

oooooh honey, you need to read up on MEXICO. Go down there and you will not be protected by laws or welcome. Go to Mexico and you may end up in a Mexican jail for no good reason. They're hardly "law-abiding" down there. If laws were any concern to that useless country, they would keep their natives fed, solve their own social problems, demand reform from elected officials, and stay the hell out of America's generous foreign aid.

Screw Mexico.

Yes, that is exactly why it is so strange OSCD....why the hell do they care about Dog or Andrew Luster for that matter? Mexico is dirty, corrupt and they DON"T even care about themseleves, so why help out the Americans? It doesn't make sense.

I understand laws are laws, but in this case, I'm sorry....Luster is a sick fuckin' pig and deserves to rot away. If it took bending the law a little bit, I'm all for it. Not everything is so black and white. Dog did society a favor and we should be thanking him for it.

Wouldn't it be cool if he trained a dog patrol to protect everyone's neighborhood? Let's face it. No one cares about the death penalty... people kill, steal, rape. But if someone heard Dog was on their trail, they'd shit like a Rottweiler.

I wish Dog could protect my little neighborhood. I'd feel safe at night!

How can protest this arrest? I for one am going to make a statement by cancelling my family holiday cruise to Mexico in protest of DOG's arrest. If other did the same and boycott their money going into Mexico the leaders may get the message. In Texas we have a saying, "Don't mess with Texas" we may have to start a saying "Don't mess with our Dog!"

this is to the guy who says that DOG should be punished because he committed a crime. What crime was there? He didn't "kidnap" him as you put it. He's a bounty hunter. His job is to track down and capture people who do commit crimes. You're just an idiot. DOG captured and brought to justice a man who raped and hurt women. I guess in your chauvanistic world, you find that ok. The guy was a criminal. Dog brought him to justice. I hope that guy gets ass raped every day in prison. And as far as Mexico is concerned? Fuck them. Their people break the fucking law every fucking day by coming over here illegally. Mexico is a drug filled, dirty, hell hole, and all of a sudden they want to uphold the law? why the hell do they care that we took one of our own american citizens and brought him to justice? what a load of crap. anyway, is there any sort of petition that you guys know about that's being passed along in DOG's defense?

Yes I agree that the onlyreason people care that he might be extradited to mexico. If I went into a foreign country without the authorization of that government or the U.S embassy and arrested Ted Bundy, I would be branded asnothing more than a two bit vigilante who would likely serve time in the U.S and mexico even if I was a bounty hunter. Most idiots in this blog can easily sit back and whine about that americans are above foreign justice especially if their famous, He was arrested because he was ignorant and arrogant towards mexican law, I know mexico is backwards country when it omes to law enforcement, hell I went their quite a few times and even got arrested by the federales for taking part in a drunken brawl. but the bottom lineis this, Americans can't say what justice is when arrested on foreign soil even when retrieving criminals, Fame should not be able to buy freedom, and dont mess with the mexicans in heir own country. even though I hope he perserveres I have a bad feeling that he might meet his death at the end of a shivif he goes to mexican prison

Despite the injustice of Dog being arrested, as a licensed Bounty Hunter going into a foreign country, he should have read up on the laws. He planned on driving all the way back up from Puerto Vallarta, a 20 hour drive to the border, with a fugitive from the US in his vehicle. In Mexico, that is called kidnapping, that's the law. Also, if he knew a little more about the legal system in Mexico, he would have hired a lawyer, paid off the right people, and never seen a prison. That's the way it works, its not civil law, it's Napoleonic law, corrupt as hell, but that's the system. Dog should have done his homework. And for all you people calling Mexico a drug-infested lawless country, keep your stupid American superiority and "dollars" in your own country. You make the world a much worse place when you leave.

Good! Its about time that ego floating walking molecule of testosterone got a reality check. He finds criminals... GREAT.. but dog, like many of them are so completley sure that they can do whatever they have to do to get the mark. They break laws, injure people, and use tatics any self respecting police officer wouldn't or couldn't.

Remember folks, "Dog" owns a bail bonds business and his interest in his "bounty" is mainly financial. He runs a business guys. Now, what he did in Mexico was screw over another bail bonds business man (not to mention breaking the law). Therefore, he's screwing his "brother". You know, they have the same name, bail bondsman.

So, although I do agree that Luster needed to be nailed to the wall here in America, Dog should stop acting the innocent victim and face up to the fact that he broke the law and ran out on his bail. Which is what he catches the natives in Hawaii for to entertain the Mainland every week. So, let's call a spade a spade. If he would have stood up like a man, I would have still respected him. But he's ACTING like an ignorant victim. That kind of behavior, I cannot respect.

To Dog and family,

Dog I wish for you safe return, as for your wife....she needs to get a life. Nothing agaist you, but your wife acts like a child most of the time. don't forget we use to own most of the United States...You should hold nothing against Mexico. Mexico has it's laws just like we do, even if we agree with them or not.

This is why we should close our borders. There is a radio show called the jersey guys in NJ on 101.5 fm and they have the right idea. They are having people call in with locations where these wet backs are waiting to be picked up for work. And then they call it into the Immagration guys and report them. Lets send all the bastards back cut the aid off to them and close the border. And if Canada dont like it then close that border too. Screw mexico and those stupid rat dogs too. Don't give up Dogg
