PUKE!!! SECRET SERVICE CALLED IN TO RECOVER JOLIE/PITT BABY SHOWER PHOTOS.
Alright, this story is a couple days old, but I must vent. Remember the "stolen" pictures from Brad and Angelina's baby shower? Well, they've been recovered, but I just read this story on CNN.com and it infuriated me. I must say it again, why are a couple of actors being treated like they are royalty, the President of The United States or have the cure for cancer? In a nutshell, it says that Massachusetts local & state police, PLUS SECRET SERVICE OFFICERS recovered the memory stick & camera that contained the Jolie/Pitt baby shower photos. Why in the world are we using secret service officers for this? It's bad enough Namibia treated this couple like they have magical powers or something, but for this to come from the United States is, well, embarrassing. I'm not dissing Angelina for all the good she's done for Africa or what not, but come on, she isn't the only person in our country that does good things. Shit, if you want to see another celebrity who does good things, look at Oprah who should be treated like royalty!
Alright, I know that Brad and Angie probably aren't the ones that demanded secret service be a part of this, but c'mon, many celebrities have had things stolen from them (hello Pamela and Tommy Lee and the infamous sex tape), and the Secret Service was not called up. What's next? Maddox gets his lunch stolen at pre-school and we call up the frickin' National Guard? It makes you wonder what kind of a stink this couple or their "people" must be causing to get this type of response. People like to say Brad and Angie are just cool, normal, easy going folks, but something doesn't add up. I just think it's time for the Jolie/Pitts and their lawyers, agents, publicists and managers to calm the hell down before everyone is so sick of them they end up being the next Tom & Katie. Also, the Jolie/Pitts and their families should be little bit more careful with their personal belongings (like taking a digital camera in to be repaired without first removing the memory stick, ahem! Angie's brother James!) if they don't want things stolen and leaked to the media. If not, they should get used to the fact that just like you and I, hey, SHIT HAPPENS!

Secret Service and FBI get called in when you try and sell the photos you have stolen for exorbitant amounts of money. Your baby shower photos wouldn't make anyone a millionare--Jolie-Pitt photos will.

Also, you really wouldn't know which cases any form of Federal Government was part of solving unless it was written. If someone jumps in to say of course the FBI is on it, a few of us might sharpen our old Court TV tools to try and see the connection.
Otherwise, it's getting really funky to turn procedures upside down every time this couple has a mundane life occurrence. If Brad forgets to pick up milk at the store, are we as a nation going to fall apart? Just sayin'.

You obviously watch way too much CSI. You don't need a bloody corpse, or a gram of coke to get the FBI involved in a case. I'm sure we can agree that when someone takes something that doesn't belong to them, it's called stealing. Against the law? Yes. Does the FBI investigate thefts? Yes.
I'm not saying it's right, but it is possible. And I think we can leave the drug sniffing dogs out of it.
Why do you keep talking about FBI? Only local, state police and secret service were mentioned in this.

BTW, I read papers, trades, mags and the Internet. I watch zero/no TV (Idol, CSI, any of it). Zilch, zippo, none, nada.
Already knowing that the FBI investigates a multitude of cases, the need to jump in on the Jolie situation is still unclear. But you know and if that's your tax dollars at work, cool. That's all that matters. I'm sure the story will continue to unwind and its importance will eventually be revealed.

People say Angie just wanted to distract everyone from the bad press of Brad's marriage. Maybe, but I'm sure she loves kids and hopefully they aren't just a little accessory to get publicity. Both of them have this God Like superiority complex. They truly believe that they are above anyone in the US. Once again, everytime something is said in the press, such as, people saying that they are not happy, low and behold, this picture, only one, turns up on the internet. They love, love, love, the spotlight. All that traveling, on camera no doubt, around the world. The funny part is that she had a plane. When they did not want to be seen they didn't.
