STAR JONES BANNED FROM THE SET OF THE VIEW.
Oooooooh! Things are going crazy down at The View. Damn! Star Jones has just started all kinds of mess and scandal I tell ya. Basically, after yesterday's show where she announced ahead of schedule that she was not returning to The View and also her statement to People Magazine that she "felt like she was fired," Star was told NOT to come back to the set today to finish up her reign as co-host. Ooops! Don't fuck with Barbara Walters! Star will be appearing on Larry King's CNN show Thursday to tell her side of the story.
Thanks to the fabulous Drudge Report, here's a transcript of Barbara Walter's on The View Wednesday morning discussing why Star is not welcome the hell back on set:

WALTERS: "And then there were three. This is, truthfully, a very difficult day for us, and it is a sad day for us. If you were watching the program yesterday, you would have heard Star announce that she's leaving THE VIEW and will not be on the program next fall."We didn't expect her to make this statement yesterday. She gave us no warning. And we were taken by surprise. But the truth is that Star has known for months that ABC did not want to renew her contract and that she would not be asked back in the fall. "The network made this decision based on a variety of reasons which I won't go into now. But we were never going to say this. We wanted to protect star. And so we told her that she could say whatever she wanted about why she was leaving and that we would back her up."We worked closely with her representatives and we gave her time to look for another job. We hope she would announce it on the program and leave with dignity. "But Star made another choice. "And since her announcement yesterday, she has made further announcements that have surprised us."So it is becoming uncomfortable for us to pretend that everything is the same at this table. "And, therefore, regrettably Star will no longer be on this program, except for some shows that have been prerecorded. "THE VIEW helped make Star a Star and Star helped make THE VIEW the success that it is. "We will never forget that. We wish her well in this new chapter of her life as we begin a new chapter on THE VIEW."

THEN, the 3 of them made certain to laugh a LOT, joke and be more playful. They were obviously sending a message. I actually started to like Star, but in retrospect perhaps she tried to be more likeable in the 2 months since she's known her fate. Joy was less of a pain in the ass today, Elisabeth actually seemed likeable for the very first time. Barbara was still boring to me, but she obviously tried. I really just think they're a boring, generic lot and they'd better get some fresh blood in there fast before they lose all 56 of their viewers.
While I was reading Madam Walters statement I couldn't help but hear it as SNL use to do..with her lisp. I was cracking up. But I think there are 2 peeps you don't mess around with Walters and Oprah.
In fact, I think Walters could take down Oprah without blinking an eye.
Geez. Could this show become even more dull and boring? Meredith and Star contributed significantly to this show. Eventhough I didn't personally care for Star, I respected her because she bought a lot to the show...a spin, a debate, and drama. I doubt I'll tune in this fall. Babs is boring, Elizabeth is worthless, definitely don't want to wake up to angry Rosie. The other one should get her own show because if anyone is still watching this show its because of her jokes.
It really is time for the show to go. Boring. Don't care who they put on.

the "former fatty" just got a dose of reality. we, the viewers, could not stand her endless self promotion of her boyfriend Al, her wedding, and finally her breastlift. star will not be back on major network tv because she does not have the ratings.
may i ask how star became famous and why people dont like her/ i have never seen the show.
I'm very disappointed with walters and the way she is treating star. How dare she want Star to lie, be phony & put on a charade to maintain a certaing atmosphere for their show. why must she leave on their terms, when they are stabbing star in the back. Why must Star lie & protect the show & it's executors---the truth is what it is, they no longer wanted Star on their show & they wanted Star to up keep their charade/ I'm happy star informed us on her term and way. Anyway the show started to suck once Meredith left I enjoyed Meredith personality & Star made it a plus because she kept it real/which she is still doing, she is fashionable, funny & different. Star will be missed but its time for her to do her own thing/and do it where she will be appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Kudos to Star Jones Reynolds for leaving the way she did and sticking to the truth. ABC clearly went to great efforts to portray Walters as considerate by trying to sell a pathetic story about having Star stay past November 2005. ** Take note of how ABC won't dare bring up the wedding photos again unless they want to have their asses handed to them by Timer Warner ** All that's left now is to watch "The View" ratings drop next season now that Rosie's on the show. Perhaps ABC and Barbara's next futile ratings grab maneuver will be to replace Star with someone representing our country's 2% lesbian demographic.
I was so very proud of Star on Larry King. I used to watch the View but the programming was beginning to stink and it had nothing to do with Star Jones. I was never a big Jones fan but I give her credit for being smart and funny. She was an asset to the show whenever I did watch. I always admired B. Walters and was very disappointed in how she handled this situation. She did not shine!!!!!Star did! I won't be watching Rosie. She is all washed up and the ratings will show that.

And by the way I suppose we don't need to wonder whowrote the comment about the "former Fatty". She should have signed her name!
Oh please stop all the crap - Star was not renewed - in other words she was fired - got it - FIRED. BW IS the creator of the show therefore has the most power (not to mention the producers - who by the way are interested in ratings - that Ms. Star was not producing). There was NO dignity in the way Jones presented her case as it were - she basically announced to the world whe got fired and now all 14 of her fans are in a snit.
Here's the thing: google each of their names followed by imdb and read each's contrubutions to the world. BW did far more when she was 40 than Star (at the same age) has done because she put the job before personal issues. Star will never be able to catch up to BW if she lives to 200 because she's all about herself and what she can get for FREE. She's a disgrace and should be ashamed - but as we can see by her petty daily blab she's not going peacefully and certainly not with dignity.
BW has had a full life so if the VIEW goes down in flames - do you really think BW cares? She's so well respected and as has so many awards that she can name her price for any project. Let's see if time allows the STAR the same.
Star better concentrate on how she's going to deal with her husband. He's a low key kinda guy - down-low key kinda guy.
When the dust settles, I'll bet he's outta there. Wouldn't blame him a bit - she's a piece of work. And if he's not gay - he just might be after all this crap.
As an individual we are all different. NO One should try to measure up or be compared with another. Star Jones and Barbara Walters are both unique and intelligent individuals. The one that will shine will be the one who has Godly charateristics. Let's pray, they both shine. As Americans, we are so self absorbed in self hate, jealousy, pride, and
greed. If this country was truly built on religious priciples, Why not try exercising them now...
