Baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt isn't even a month old and the kid is already helping the less fortunate, just like her mother Angelina does. Getty Images Photo Agency announced today that the Jolie-Pitt family has decided that they will sell pictures of baby Shiloh to the drooling press, for what will no doubt be an obscene amount of money. No word yet on when the public will be able to see photos of the kid. Brad & Angie said that all profits from the photos will be given to charity, which will be named shortly. It's absolutely crazy how the media goes cuckoo-bird over pictures of an infant, but thankfully, because of the media's strange fascination with celebrity babies, the parents are able to donate insane amounts of money to charitable causes that might not otherwise get it. Although I seem to recall not all celebrity parents are like that. Didn't Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas allegedly do something like ask friends for monetary gifts to go into a trust fund for their child when he was born? Oh well, I guess everyone can't be saints in Hollywood.
UPDATE: An updated AP report said, "Pitt and Jolie said they hoped that proceeds from photos of their daughter would go toward saving the lives of newborn children in Africa." The couple also released the following statement: "While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter, we recognize that 2 million babies born every year in the developing world die on the first day of their lives," the couple said. "These children can be saved, but only if governments around the world make it a priority."

Sure would be nice if they would give some of that money to children in America who need help too!

Yep, they are pimps....I think it's horrible. They are loaded...why don't they just cut a check instead of using their daughter to make a political statement? I didn't like them before, now I think they are pathetic.
well, i will say this in support of B&A, (shocking, I know)....celebs do this as a way to get the baby pics out so the are not harrassed even more by the paparazzi to get photos of their baby. Once the photo is out there its not as valuable and razzi's will still go nuts, but not as nuts. Get the point? I say if its gonna happen, do it, get some cash and help out people who need it. It's ridiculous how money like that is thrown around for photos and such, but if its gonna happen, at least use it for a good cause. OR, send it over to Catherine Zeta Jones's kid's trust fund.
TW, you know, I totally get all that....I wouldn't want to be harrassed by photographers for pictures of my kid either, BUT I still think they are exploiting her. Take a polariod, mail it to people and let them publish it. The end. Why does it have to be this huge ordeal with a photo shoot?
And the other point is that they have been in "hiding" in Africa for crying out loud and now they want the world to see them?? You would think they would want even more privacy now?? I'm sorry, but I'm still suspicous!!!
