Don't fuck with Mother!""We are deeply saddened that, during our time of loss and grief, we are forced to respond to the media frenzy caused by the mean-spirited and surprising comments made by Tori to the press, just two days after the passing of [Aaron Spelling]. As we try to honor his memory with love and respect, the sudden media frenzy she has created at this sensitive time is hurtful and very disturbing. Aaron's legacy deserved pure and unadulterated tribute and recognition which, sadly, has been tainted.
"Everyone deals with grief in a different way, and since Tori chose not to be here at that time, we believe she is having a harder time dealing with that loss. We understand how difficult it might have been for her to be here, and, perhaps, more difficult for her after she arrived. Aaron loved both his children with all his heart, and he understood how hard it was for her.
"We hope Aaron will be remembered with reverence and spirit for the monumental legacy he has left and not for the petty and tabloid headlines which have marred his articles of remembrance. We have mourned our great loss as a family and will continue to do so as that is what Aaron deserved."

Damn! That's one of the lowest shots I've ever seen taken. I gotta side with Tori on this one - she deserved an immediate call from her mother (or at least her brother if mom was being a bitch).
And "Aaron's legacy"? Please. He lived for drama and ratings, and he's getting it tenfold after his death. After all, this WAS the guy behind Melrose Place. What comes around goes around.
Oh well, Tori - better not to be part of that family anyway! Ugh!

I think her response was classy and frankly, I agree with mama Spelling....Tori made a bad decision not going to be by her father's on his death bed and I'm sure she will be haunted by that for the rest of her life...
She didn't "deserve a call"...she should've BEEN THERE. She has nothing else going on and God knows that man and that man alone GAVE her any "career" this talentless and unattractive baggage ever had. Why should the family have to track her bulimic ass down? SHE SHOULD'VE BEEN THERE.

Why? Why isn't she pretty. I don't like fake breasts but it's her body not mine. She takes some great pictures AND some bad pictures.
Her dad was just too wealthy... and people will always punish her for not having a perfect face... or sometimes wearing the wrong outfit.
Hey, the only problem here is she invited a guy with a wife and kids into her life. Then she stole the guy (even if the marriage was shaky). That's what she's responsible for. Not the fact that people don't like her looks or that her dad is more loaded than our dads. THAT's pure jealousy! IMO
