ELLEN DEGENERES & ANNE HECHE MAKE PEACE.

Five years is a really long time to never speak to an ex-boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever, because you had a bad break up. It's just a waste of human energy to harbor anger and negative feelings towards someone you once loved and have since, moved on from. I am happy to report that five years after their break-up, former lovers Anne Heche and Ellen Degeneres have moved beyond the hurt and awkwardness and have finally spoken to each other. According to US Weekly, it happened when they were both attending the GQ Celebrity Poker For Peace Games with their respective partners and Anne, who was with her husband Coley Laffoon, decided to go up to Ellen and her girlfriend Portia De Rossi and say hello. Yay Anne! Understandably, Ellen seemed to be taken aback by Heche's wave of the olive branch and according to US Weekly, "Ellen's face was bright red. "The group talked, catching up and chatting and sort of seeing where each other was at in their lives. After that they went their separate ways and didn't have much to do with each other. They were concentrating more on their poker games." No matter what, that moment couldn't have been easy for either of them. And more than likely, the girls aren't suddenly going to be best friends or even go out for coffee. But I am a big fan of both these women and am so happy that once and for all, they were able to really put a close to a painful chapter in their lives.
