SHE TRIPPED. GET OVER IT.

My girl Brit can't get a break. She tripped while carrying baby Sean today (she reportedly was trying to step over a pot hole and her pant got caught in her shoe) and now people are using it as another excuse to say she is a bad mother. To be honest, I am tired of this Britney bashing all the time. She is human and I'm sure she was horrified when this happened, but you can't blame someone for tripping. That second picture is just so scary, you can imagine how terrible she is going to feel when she sees it. Poor baby lost his little orange hat and all. The New York Post is reporting she was very shaken up from the incident and seen afterwards at a restaurant in tears. It's horrible that this had to happen while she was holding Sean Preston, but I bet if we had photographers swarming around us taking pictures 24/7 and just waiting for us to fuck up, all of our daily accidents would be caught on film too. Hey, maybe she needs parenting classes, I don't know, but I'm not going to judge the girl when we fully know that the press only covers her from an extremely negative angle lately. You cannot deny how much she loves this baby. Plus, The girl is pregnant, give her some peace before she has a breakdown from paparazzi being on her ass all the time. Instead of bashing her, why not be happy she and Sean Preston didn't get injured? She obviously has fairly good balance as she didn't drop the baby OR her drink. ;) TMZ (who shamefully will have video of this tomorrow afternoon) reports that after her trip Britney said, "this is why I need a gun." Hmmm...
Update: Here's the video

I don't like Britney at all but I don't get the crap she is getting for tripping either. Good lord, if I was hammered in the press everytime I tripped, there wouldn't be room for any other news. On another note, she really needs to quit putting that damn cap on sideways.

Yea I agree. I feel bad for her. There isn't a mother alive that hasn't done a few stupid things with their kids. My question is why isn't the baby's father there to help her out?

Hey. Hazim here...again. I will be extremely pissed if the paparazzi push Britney into a Mariah Carey-style public breakdown. She doesn't deserve. But hey, she's still got her composure together. Pics with Britney and KFed are getting rarer and rarer. Maybe it'sd cuz KFed's preparing his assualt "cough""cough" on the charts.

I am sorry their is no excuse for her. Babies make abrupt movements and your other hand should be free not holding a drink!

I feel so bad for her! I agree with the Tabloid Whore 100%. I really doubt that there is a more careful mommy out there than I am but no matter how hard you try to keep your kids safe once in a while you 'trip.' You feel bad enough about it without people taking pictures of the event and saying you are a bad parent!

With all due respect (you're a big fan of hers), she's endangering her baby practically every five minutes and someone needs to deal wih what's really going on with her. The baby had a skull fracture recently, yet she plods out in heels, with a big ole heavy GLASS drink in her hand, and the baby slung in one arm. He's a baby -- not a sack of potatoes -- dropping suddenly like that, even without falling, could cause damage to his little neck or spine. And that bizarre look on her face -- like "I'll just pretend this didn't happen".
One incident and it's just an accident, but this many incidents and it's a real cause for concern. He's a really cute little tyke and there's a lot of us out here who don't care who his parents are, we just hate to see any baby get put at risk constantly by his mother. Her fame is no excuse. Who asked her to wear heels or carry that big heavy lowball glass in one hand? She's five months pregnant on top of it. Where are her brains? Why couldn't she strap her baby into a proper harness in his carseat, rather than let his head droop so far out of the seat that he was almost bent in two??? We're talking infant here -- NOT toddler.

I agree with the commenter above, and I'm even giving Britney the benefit of the doubt. So far in the past 2 months she's been seen twice driving with the baby on her lap, he's fallen out of his high chair once, she's been photographed driving in a convertible (yikes) with the baby slumped over, and forget about the actual tripping (which was an accident and we all have those) - she was carrying the baby very sloppily, holding a drink in her hand (while pregnant), and wearing heels. I think Britney is a very nice person who means well. I also think she's a bit of an idiot and needs to take some common sense classes, and also some classes on how to make good decisions as a parent. I honestly feel for her baby.

Ummm, I love you, Tabloidwhore, but why did you put a picture of her tripping, but not the recent picture of her driving in a convertible with her child dangling out of the carseat? The tripping is not such a big deal (it was an accident, although it doesn't look like she was being particularly careful), but the car seat thing?? She must be incredibly stupid. If she's so tired of being dragged through the mud for her parenting skills, she should learn how to use a carseat properly (or hire someone to strap the poor guy in for her). All she has to do is go to a fire station and they'll explain to her how to do it. Man, she is a stupid, stupid girl.

Beth: I didn't put that mini cooper picture up because i thought it was ridiculous shooting the girl from a freakin helicopter while she was driving. I cover what I find interesting and feel like talking about, so sorry if i'm not into following the crowd and bashing the girl every chance possible. There are plenty of other places for you to find that and I invite you to go there if that is what you are looking for.

Good for you, TW, for not jumping on this bullshit train. I seriously hope all these people who are judging this young mother so harshly are living their lives perfectly and are right with God because this is so unfair. She's a new mother, pregnant, is having marital problems, and half the world is following her 24 7 just waiting for her to make a mistake. How many mistakes have we all made and breathed a sigh of relief that at least no one witnessed it? The next picture in that series is of her bawling. I am sooooooo very thankful that I am not so mean-spirited as to be able to criticize, blame, and say evil judgemental bullshit after seeing that. This young lady is a human being. Might be good to try to remember that. Out of all these hot shot celebrities, who has been more down to earth than Britney? Even when she was on top I never heard another celebrity say she was ever anything but sweet and kind. Shame on a whole lot of folks.

Thank you TW for being the only one I've seen today not bash Britney for this. I'm starting to feel very bad for her now...
I know how it is to be a new mom raising a child basically alone so I feel for her. Every parent makes mistakes. So what if she was holding a drink--how many moms do you see holding a baby, a bottle, a baby bag, toys? Am I supposed to change out of my heels into tennis shoes every day before I pick my son up after work? I hope that all of this negativity doesn't completely screw up SPF when he is old enough to see all of this! I feel so bad for that cute kid too!

"some of you are judgemental fools who need to grow the fuck up."

So anyone who doesn't share your worldview is a judgemental fool? Isn't that statement just as judgemental as the other ones here? Speaking of growing the fuck up, that's an exceedingly immature thing to say. Really silly. We can disagree without vehemence, you know.

why didn't she drop the drink in order to catch her son? Is the drink more important than her son's safety? SPF could have had brain damage from falling on concrete. Bitch needs to get a clue. This is the reason why I advocate child licensure: you must be evaluated by a psychaitrist before having children.

Oh yea, poor Britney.

Fame sucks.

The very hand that fed her is now biting her.

I suppose we wouldn't be here commenting on her "parenting skills" had she not already f'ed up something awful already (SUV and Mini incidents).

I also suppose we can blame her age but I know plenty of 20 somethings that parent just fine (and run circles around her on one leg).

Boo hoo.

No one held a gun to her head and told her to marry that greaseball. Nor did anyone coerce her into getting knocked twice.

She is in over her head.

Money can buy bling but clearly, in this case, it doesn't buy one sense.

Helicopters or not...that photo of that poor little boy slumped over in his car seat just killed me. Yes, every new mother makes mistakes....but with all the help she has around her someone should be helping her with the basics.

There is no doubt that she loves her child...but I think she needs to get her act together.

Or get the kid a neck brace and a helmet and he's good to go....

Okay, I just watched the clip, and she pretty much cracked up after it happened, and had this look on her face with her tongue sticking out like "duh, silly me!" People are all entitled to their opinions. Personally, while I do think she's getting pretty hammered lately on everything, she did choose this life of fame for herself, and has been famous since she was really young, so paparazzi has ALWAYS been following her. If she cared so much about her privacy, would she have invited everyone into her personal (over-share,actually)life via "chaotic"? And then she's "shocked" people care about her every mis-step?? The tripping thing does happen when juggling all the baby paraphenalia required in this day and age, but she was juggling her baby wearing too-long jeans, and high wedgie sandals carrying a drink. Poor Britney!! Let's pity the poor girl who rides around with her baby slumped over in a convertible with direct sunlight hitting him. He probably passed out from heatstroke!! I think it's really sad she's so nonplussed about her bad mothering choices. My grandmother has 13 children, and is appaled at what Britney is getting away with. It's just inexcusable. That's my opinion, and I totally respect the opinions of people who are defending her. We all can feel however the hell we want about this, right??

i feel sorry for the girl, but i do think she needs to get a baby stroller. that would help. where's the manny that she hired? i'm glad she didn't drop the baby... that would have been so bad. i think she's totally stressed out and w/ ppl around her all the time, it doesn't make anything any better. i hope she kids KFed to the line because he's a loser. and... she needs to get some sense back about what she's wearing. that white halter w/ the black bra and the thongs... it aint cuttin' it.

I never was a Britney fan, but I have to admit that I'm starting to feel sorry for the girl. Every little oops she does is turned in to this big thing. When my girl was Sean's age, I was going down the (carpeted) stairs in the house in just socks, and I slipped. Slid down the stairs on my butt, baby clutched to my chest. When I landed at the bottom, Bella just kind of looked at me like "what was that? let's do it again!!" I felt so horrible, like I could have killed her, but it was an accident. She's fine. Stuff happens.

She tripped! Big. Fucking. Deal. BUT, the paps had nothing to do with it. They didn't trip her nor were they in her way compeletly. Too bad she couldn't get in on that side of the vehicle, then none of this would have happened!

she drives with the baby on her lap - a big bad idea #1...

she drives w/ the kid in the carseat (yeah), facing the wrong direction so he could be killed in an accident - bad idea #2...

the kid falls on his head and she's too stupid to take him to the dr. until she realizes he's 'sleeping too much' - bad idea #3...

and now she's walking in pants that are TOO LONG and get tangled in her shoes, while carrying a drink that's too important to put down in order to carry the kid properly and almost dumps him on his head - bad idea #4...

the girl has MONEY...why does she keep doing these stupid things...i understand people w/ no means who can't afford to see a dr., or hire a nanny or buy a stroller or get pants that fit properly, and yet this woman is worth millions and she can't manage to get her shit together...THAT's why people are up in arms...grow UP you fat slag and learn to raise your child properly...good god...

Britney is the mother of that child, and as such, she’s responsible for his welfare. New mother or not, her behavior is unacceptable. She’s obviously had a lot of advice and criticism, yet refuses to heed any of it. She is of the arrogant “know it all” types who doesn’t want to accept her faults and work on them. The end result is the endangerment of her son, and her subsequent children.
She’s crying, not because of her son, but because she was once again proven to be inadequate as a parent, far more concerned with everything BUT the child.
She was embarrassed, nothing more. Her embarrassment, coupled with her hormones from yet another mistake resulted in what we see as the blubbering mess that is Twitney.

Behavior? She tripped, ya jackass. Next time your ass trips over the carpet, maybe ya oughta reconsider your "behavior".

Leave the girl alone. I'm sure if there were photographers constantly taking pictures of you, they'd catch some of your stupid parenting mistakes.
