DAVID BLAINE DROWNED ALIVE: DAY 2!

Oh! What do ya know?! Kelly Ripa goes into the human aquarium with David Blaine! Hmmm? See for yourself!

So, it's day 2 of David Blaine living in his human aquarium for the week. I saw him on Good Morning America today and he was interviewed by Diane Sawyer. He had on this big old helmet enabling him to listen and speak to her, it was pretty crazy! Also, my friend MK at popbytes told me he saw Kelly Ripa jump in the aquarium with him this morning--I love it! Unfortunately, I missed Kelly, but am working feverishly to try and find a clip somewhere. On GMA, he told Sawyer that his hands and feet were already getting wrecked by being in the water for just one day and that they put a special lotion in the gloves he wears to try and protect his hands. He said the real difficulty will be when this endurance challenge is over and his skin will be so worn down almost like paper from the water. Sleeping is difficult because to do it, he needs to lie at the bottom of the aquarium, but the pressure on his head from being inside is so much that it makes it difficult for him to fall asleep. Other than that, he said he loved being in there and that is was peaceful. Diane also talked to him about the training he did with the NAVY SEALs beforehand and he explained, "What was amazing about the Navy SEALs — a lot of their training, although it is physical, is more about the mental and spiritual part. They talk about overriding the pain in your body by finding something to take you away from it."
