RIP PROOF. EMINEM'S BEST MAN KILLED.
First Eminem loses his wife, and now, one of his closest friends. Deshaun Holton (aka Proof), a member of the rap group D-12, was shot to death early Tuesday at a Detroit nightclub along 8 Mile road. A spokesperson for the police said that an argument started at the CCC nightclub that ended in gunshots. Two people were shot in the head (one fatally) and although Detroit police would not confirm Holton was the one killed, his record label publicist confirmed it today. In addition to appearing in Eminem's film 8 Mile, Holton was also best man at Eminem's most recent wedding. So sad, what a waste.

Thanks for that. He was a brilliant man, deserves to be recognized and memorialized.
That's really sad. Poor Proof. And poor Marshall, he has a lot of sadness in his life. It's really surprising that he's done as well as he has and takes care of not only his child, but his niece and Kim's other child.
Poor Proof, yes, I don't wish death on anyone, but the man did fire the first shot, if he was lucky (thank God he wasn't) then he would have killed that man. I'm saddened by his death and I am a fan of D12 and Eminem, but he did fire the first shot and did attempt murder first. I wish he never did, because then he would still be here.
It's such a shame any of this took place. If he didn't get killed, he would have killed someone. No matter what, someone was going to die that morning, and it was either Proof or Proof killing someone else.
RIP Proof.
