We can't say Jesus Christ without someone getting "offended" but we can make a mockery of him at every chance we get. This is not a figure of our imagination, but a man who was here, and changed the whole world, there is NO disputing that, whether you believe he is the son of God is up to you, but he sure must of done some pretty awesome things, to still be talked about today!
I vote no. Jesus Christ is an icon, and icons are emulated. The color of skin should not dictate who can emulate someone. *bow* Thank you very much. :)
Yes He Did Take It Too Far Hes Not That Important, And He Hasnt Been Around That Long And What If He Was? Hes Still No Jesus Christ So He Should Just Shut Up Already! He Gets On My Nerves. I Cant Stand Him. =/
Kanye will always be Kanye. What else is there to say. He's proud (a bit too proud), but he's talented. Was he intentionally mocking Jesus or was he so sure of himself that he was on that level. The Grammy voters are gonna have a field day when they see the cover.
He is just so full of himself. I don't care one way or the other about this particular subject other than to say it shows just how full of himself he is..and when you actually have to hear him speak while made up this way..blech! He sucks.
It's not a matter of whether Kanye is great or not or what the color of his skin is, but by portraying himself as the christ is just plan wrong. I don't care if you believe if you believe in Jesus or God or any kind of deity, but to take a figure that means so much to so many people and essentially degrade Him is just wrong. To take the matter of his crucifixion so lightly as to portray a image of someone resembling Jesus in that way makes my stomach churn.
enchanted - what exactly does that mean: "Jesus of music"? I think it's time for Kanye West to stop acting so tortured. Yes, he's a great artist and deserves all the success he's getting, but i wish he would THINK before opening his mouth. And for someone so seemingly devout, how can he portray Jesus, who preached humility and humbleness, when he is so blatantly full of himself?

I don't really see what the big deal is. People really need to lighten the hell up!
