CRUISE DUMPS THE SISTER.
Tom Cruise has decided to bump Scientologist sister Lee Anne DeVette from her publicist duties and go back to letting the real professionals take care of his mess. Lee Anne has been taking care of Cruise's PR since he dumped his longtime publicist Pat Kingsley back in March of 04. He has now hired veteran publicist and Rogers and Cowan co-chairman Paul Bloch to handle his publicity. Before taking on the overwhelming duty Cruise's PR, De Vette worked for his production company, Cruise-Wagner Prods., focusing on the marketing and PR of his movies. Cruise said in a statement, "Lee Anne has done a wonderful job on behalf of myself and Cruise-Wagner Prods. over the last few years. But she has always expressed a desire to oversee and expand the day-to-day activities of my charitable endeavors. With our current plans to increase those endeavors, and Cruise-Wagner's increased production slate of film and television projects, this seemed the appropriate time to make that segue and bring Rogers and Cowan on board to handle mine and the company's entertainment-related publicity needs." he has done more than screw up his career and knocking up Katie isn't gonna help him.
He used to be such a box office draw...i doubt he'll ever be again. He's lucky he's rich as shit. Until the divorce where Katie will get 1/2 and we can all chuckle...
Even Oprah's had on Brooke Shields since the "fight" and she didn't have on Mr. C....i think that says something...
