I can't say it enough, Oprah Winfrey is just so freakin' awesome. Can she do anything wrong? Seriously. The lady has bazillions of dollars, brains and a huge heart. I teared up when I watched her special Oprah episode helping the children of Africa, cheered her when she came to the rescue of victims of Hurricane Katrina and now, she is using her daytime talk show to do one of the most admirable things ever, nab wanted sex offenders. Today two friends Karie Miller of Fargo and Jean Rosenthal of Moorhead, Minn. each received $50,000 checks from Winfrey for their part in capturing a fugitive sex offender they saw profiled on Oprah. Rosenthal watched Winfrey's show Oct. 4 on fugitives accused of preying on children when she saw the profile of a man she knew as Mark Allen Davis. After Miller checked the profile, she called FBI agents in Minneapolis to turn in her neighbor. Authorities wanted Davis, 33, of Wadesville, Ind., on 10 felony counts of child molestation and failing to register as a sex offender. Winfrey hopes to score similar victories by posting pictures of a number of wanted sex offenders on her website, Oprah.com, and offering rewards for their capture. Yay Oprah! If anyone can nab these sick bastards, Oprah can! We have had too many children that have fallen victim to these sons-o-bitches because they are out on the streets and it's time for it to stop.
