PURITY OF HIS INSTRUMENT

So, there is a new rumor floating around about why Mimi Rogers and Tom Cruise got a divorce in 1990. Word is, that Mimi is saying she split from Tom Cruise after he became celebate (or, um gay?) and refused to have sex with her. There are claims that she is quoted as saying, "He was seriously thinking of becoming a monk. "He thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument, but my instrument needed tuning, and we had to split." Great story, but even I doubt its accuracy only because everyone who has been involved with Cruise in the past is so hush-hush about their relationship with him and I am having a hard time finding the direct source for this alleged quote. Would love it if it was true...I can't get over the line about having a pure instrument. Awesome.
