KATIE HOLMES' DAD ROCKS.

Kate Holmes' daddy Martin is not happy. He has reportedly spoken out about his daughter and her plans to try and lose her baby weight faster than a speeding bullet only 2 weeks after giving birth to daughter Suri. Kate has met with Sue Fleming, the owner of a company called "Buff Brides," to train her so she can look like a hot "child bearing woman" for her upcoming marriage to Tom Cruise. Martin Holmes doesn't seem to agree with Kate getting into the exercise groove so quickly, telling Reveal magazine, "My daughter needs rest, relaxation and recuperation. Katie is already doing exercises to build up her back and shoulders and I simply can't go along with what is happening." It's also being reported that Tom Cruise is overseeing her weight loss regime, which sounds kind of ridiculous and the thought itself makes me laugh. I'm picturing him waking Kate up every morning in his sweatsuit and whistle around his neck, jumping on the bed yelling, "c'mon Kate! Up and at 'em! One, two, three! One, two, three!" In the meantime, the owner of Buff Brides is defending Kate (and probably also trying to ensure the cha-ching in her pocket) to Martin Holmes' comments by saying, "Katie can and will do it. She has great motivation. She loves her fiance and was proud that Tom oversaw this program. He told her he wanted her to be the most beautiful bride ever. She was in tears when he said that." Even though I pledged to try and be nicer about this couple, I am really glad Kate's dad isn't some wimp who is afraid to speak out about something going on with his daughter that he doesn't feel is right. Keep talking daddy Holmes, keep talking!
