JESSICA SIMPSON WILL BEG FOR SYMPATHY BY SINGING AT PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS.
Jessica Simpson will be the opening act at the upcoming January 10th People's Choice Awards doing "a very special performance." "Jessica's true vocal talent, unlimited energy and undeniable charisma will truly be a great addition to this year's show," executive producer Carol Donovan said in a statement Thursday. Jessica's version of "These Boots are Made For Walking," from the Dukes of Hazzard movie, is nominated in the "Favorite Song in a Movie" category. Blech. I thought her voice sounded weird and fake in that song. Simpson's publicist, Rob Shuter, confirmed her appearance but wouldn't elaborate. She better not come out on stage and sing some sad song trying to get sympathy! Since it's the People's Choice Awards and aside from the fact that they blow, winners are reportedly notified ahead of time if they win, so it's my guess that Jessica will get the award in that category. With her live performance and all, would Papa Joe have it any other way? Source: AP

she is the most bizzare singer. Her hand taps to keep time and she makes the weirdest faces when she sings, her body convulses. i guess if you keep your eyes closed...
she is a pretty decent singer, but I can't get over the fact of her dad pimping her out all over hollywood. she used to stand for her own principals and be a christian role model; now she is just another cookie cutter, sell out, pop singer, I cannot in good conscience add "actress" to that
LMAO!! I may have to watch just for that. Until now, I have always refused to watch this no talent. If she wears her Daisy Dukes and sluts up the show while going through a divorce, I will think even less of her if possible.
I'm sick of her trying to make everyone feel sorry for her.
What do you want to bet that she is wearing her ring on a chain around her neck! I hope she gets boos from the audience.
